Yuli's student makes history with a triple crown

Dear readers

It has been a great day for the Teoh family. KC made Under 17s WA history winning a historic triple crown.

As far as I know in recent history Eddie Hung won a triple crown for the Under 19s. Xiang won a triple crown for the Under 15s.

Now we have a triple crown for the Under 17s. I have seen KC grow as a player through the years with support from his family especially his parents.

He was injured in the Under 15s and lost his dream. He never gave up and continued the hard work to train with Yuli so many days a week to get to win the triple. Good on this humble and well mannered boy.

He won the triple with Bella in the MD and Milain in the BD.

Bella will be disappointed that her injuries prevented her from reaching the same heights but I am sure we will see much more of her.

Sun Yee and Jason also did well getting their first national silver.

Katrina and Daphne also did well winning the girls doubles plate while Alicia grabbed the singles plate.

All the players did well and made their parents proud.

Congrats again to Yuli and her young charges and also to Kay and JQ the assistant coach.

Kay has mentioned many times that she is retiring as manager. I think this time, we can finally let her go after the team and individual achievements. I also heard she had tears in her eyes a few times during the week. God bless her.

Till the next Under 17s , good night.
